DollarsAndSense is a Singapore-based financial media website that aims to help people make better financial decisions. We are looking for a Content & Editorial Intern to support our editorial team in producing useful, relatable and well-researched finance content for readers in Singapore.
This internship is suitable for someone who enjoys writing, is curious about finance, and wants to gain practical exposure to how financial topics are researched, explained and communicated to a wider audience.
It is also a valuable opportunity for someone who is keen to enter the finance, investment, fintech or financial journalism space, as the role provides exposure to a wide range of personal finance and industry topics, including investing, insurance, property and fintech news.
The Role
As a Content & Editorial Intern, you will support the editorial team in researching, writing and publishing finance-related content. This may include personal finance articles, explainers, listicles, evergreen guides, interview pieces and social media content.
Through this internship, you will gain hands-on experience in financial journalism, digital publishing and content production, while building a stronger understanding of Singapore’s financial landscape.
This is a hybrid internship role, with a mix of in-office collaboration and remote work.
Key Responsibilities
• Research personal finance, investing, insurance, property, CPF, banking, career and current affairs topics relevant to Singapore readers
• Draft finance-related articles, article sections, explainers and listicles under editorial guidance
• Assist with fact-checking, data collection and updating existing articles where needed
• Support the editorial team in brainstorming and developing article ideas
• Attend media briefings, interviews or events where relevant, and help summarise key takeaways
• Assist in preparing interview questions, background notes and research briefs
• Help repurpose articles into social media captions, Telegram posts or short-form content ideas
• Support the editorial team with other content-related and operational tasks where needed
Who We’re Looking For
• A strong interest in personal finance, investing, business, fintech, current affairs or public policy
• Keen to gain experience in financial journalism, digital media or the wider financial industry
• Able to write clearly and explain ideas in a simple, relatable way
• Comfortable doing online research and checking information against reliable sources
• Meticulous with details, especially when dealing with numbers, facts and financial terms
• Willing to learn how digital publishing, SEO and social media content work
• Able to work independently while taking feedback from the editorial team
• Strong written English, as our content is published in English
• Prior writing, blogging, journalism, finance or media experience is useful
