We are looking for a creative, structured, and learner-centred Content & Curriculum Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and continuously improving learning content and curriculum across our corporate training programmes, digital learning platforms, and bespoke client solutions. You will apply sound instructional design principles to create engaging, effective, and scalable learning experiences — working closely with subject matter experts, clients, and internal teams to bring content to life.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Design and Development
• Design and develop end-to-end curriculum frameworks for corporate training programmes, workshops, and digital courses.
• Apply instructional design models to create structured, outcome-driven learning journeys.
• Translate complex subject matter into clear, engaging, and accessible learning content for diverse audiences.
• Develop a range of content formats including facilitator guides, participant workbooks, e-learning modules, assessments, and job aids.
• Ensure all curricula are aligned to clearly defined learning objectives and measurable outcomes.
• Continuously review and update existing content to ensure relevance, accuracy, and quality.
Content Creation & Writing
• Write clear, compelling, and learner-friendly content across a variety of formats and delivery modes — including instructor-led, blended, and self-paced learning.
• Develop engaging scripts, storyboards, and narratives for e-learning modules, video content, and interactive learning materials.
• Create well-structured assessment tools including quizzes, case studies, role-plays, and scenario-based learning activities.
• Adapt tone, language, and complexity of content to suit different learner profiles and industries.
• Collaborate with graphic designers and media producers to ensure visual assets and content are well-integrated
Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Work closely with clients and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather, validate, and synthesise content requirements.
• Facilitate needs analysis and content scoping sessions to define learning goals, target audiences, and delivery constraints.
• Present curriculum proposals, content drafts, and prototypes to clients and internal stakeholders for review and sign-off.
• Manage content feedback cycles professionally, incorporating revisions efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Build strong working relationships with clients to ensure their learning objectives are met and expectations exceeded.
Quality, Standards & Innovation
• Maintain and uphold Quill Learning's content quality standards, style guide, and instructional design best practices.
• Stay current with trends in learning and development, instructional design, and ed-tech to bring fresh thinking to our content.
• Explore and pilot new content formats, learning technologies, and engagement strategies to enhance learner experience.
• Contribute to the development of internal content frameworks, templates, and reusable learning assets.
• Participate in peer review processes to provide and receive constructive feedback on content quality.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Communications, English, Psychology, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or learning content creation.
• Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
• Excellent writing skills — you can write clearly, concisely, and engagingly for a professional audience.
• Experience developing content for corporate training, professional development, or workplace learning contexts.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working with subject matter experts and clients.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a high standard for quality in everything you produce.
Preferred but not limited to
• Experience with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, or Adobe Captivate.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle, Canvas, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of SCORM, xAPI, or other e-learning standards.
• Experience designing content for a range of industries including finance, healthcare, technology, or government.
• Exposure to video scripting, instructional video production, or multimedia content development.
• A portfolio of past curriculum or content development work across different formats and audiences.
