The Community Manager is responsible for building, growing, and managing the company's online and/or offline community of customers, users, and enthusiasts. This role champions the needs of the community internally, drives engaging conversations, and helps maintain a positive and inclusive environment that encourages long-term participation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to grow the community base across relevant platforms (e.g., Discord, Slack, forums, social media groups, company blogs) for community growth.
- Plan, create, and curate engaging content, discussion starters, Q&A sessions, and events (webinars, AMAs) that provide value to members and align with company initiatives.
- Actively monitor and moderate community channels to ensure discussions adhere to guidelines, resolve conflicts, and remove inappropriate content swiftly and professionally.
- Maintain the official brand voice and tone in all community interactions, acting as the friendly and knowledgeable face of the company.
- Gathering Insights: Systematically collect, categorize, and synthesize user feedback, feature requests, and pain points from the community.
- Internal Reporting: Serve as the "voice of the customer" internally, presenting qualitative and quantitative reports on community sentiment and key insights to the Product, Marketing, and Support teams.
- Organize, promote, and host virtual or physical community events (e.g., meetups, challenges, product preview sessions) to drive deeper engagement and connection.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of demonstrable professional experience managing and growing an online community for a brand or product.
- Strong understanding of blockchain/crypto products, DeFi protocols, exchanges, and the broader Web3 Proven experience with major community platforms (e.g., Discord, Slack, Discourse, Reddit, specialized forums).
- Familiarity with social media management tools and basic analytics/reporting software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for clear, engaging, and empathetic interaction.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working across functions and managing multiple deals simultaneously.
- Proactive, analytical, and capable of operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Fluent in English (Bahasa Indonesia or other languages is a bonus, depending on market focus).
