Job description for Community & Arts Management Executive at OH Open House Ltd

OH! Open House is looking for our next Community & Arts Management Executive. You will be the key person building and nurturing relationships with the people who make our work possible - from volunteers (the face and voice of OH!) to educators, patrons, partners, and community members. You'll also develop and deliver programmes for these stakeholders, helping to create meaningful encounters between people, places, and art.

At OH!, we believe every place has stories worth telling. Through our projects, we uncover overlooked stories and invite people to see Singapore in new ways. Joining us means helping ensure that the stories of individuals, communities, and our shared landscape are remembered, celebrated, and passed on.

When you join OH!, you become part of a close-knit network of staff, artists, volunteers, and supporters who bring ambitious ideas to life together. We work hard, but we also make time to learn, explore, and have fun - whether that's visiting exhibitions, attending artist talks, discovering new neighbourhoods, or simply sharing a meal.

If you're excited by people, storytelling, and the opportunity to create meaningful arts experiences with communities, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Volunteer management: Plan activities to engage the current group of volunteers; recruit new volunteers; manage databases; and work closely with the curatorial team to develop and execute training programmes.

  • Stakeholder management: Cultivate relationships with homeowners/hosts, shopkeepers, etc., i.e. the everyday citizens whom we work with.

  • Partnerships: Establish relationships with strategic partners to expand engagement reach (e.g., members of societies/clubs and subject-matter experts to give talks, and establish education & outreach programmes for schools).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in arts and humanities, arts administration, business/events management or experience in a relevant field
  • Experience in volunteer management and partnership
  • Creative, quick-thinking and ability to learn fast
  • Detail-oriented, able to work independently and multitask within tight deadlines
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

  • Has a passion for building and empowering communities within the Singapore arts scene
  • Strong knowledge about the local and/or regional visual arts scene
  • Strong knowledge of the latest trends and social media

Compensation will be commensurate with experience. To apply, submit both your CV and dedicated cover letter.
