Job description for Coding Educator (Primary) - Intern at Coding Lab
Coding Lab is looking for a Coding Educator (Primary) - intern to join our team.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about empowering future leaders in technology and making a lasting impact in their lives by empowering them with the necessary digital skills to thrive in this age of technology.
Responsibilities
You will be involved in:
- Teaching – Inspire and teach young learners (age 7 – 12) computational thinking usingthe Coding Lab way of learning
- Curriculum Development – Research and dev elop age appropriate computational thinking curriculum which makes advanced concepts easily understood by young learners globally. Fully utilising the unique advantages of different learning medium (videos, animations, online platforms and traditional notes), your work in curriculum will be used not just in Singapore but in our branches globally.
- Exhibitions and Events – Engage students in major Tech education events such as IMDA Digital Wonderland, #SmartNationTogether online, and Shopee Code League
Competencies Development
As a Coding Educator (Primary) - intern, you will learn:
- To explain complex topics in a structured, simple and concise manner
- To inspire students by understanding student psychology and applying intervention strategies
- The Coding Lab way of teaching to help students achieve first principles understanding of computational thinking
- How to provide constructive feedback on students’ progress
- The systematic approach to develop structured, scaffolded and effective curriculum with well-defined learning objectives.

As an intern with us you will play the important role to inspire and nurture future leaders in technology. You must be passionate about empowering others, especially young learners with the power to create with digital technology.
With rapidly changing technology, you must enjoy constantly learning new and diverse range of topics, playing with new gadgets and experimenting with new technology. You should enjoy the process of simplifying complex concepts and explaining them to young students in a concise, light-hearted and memorable way.
Intensive training will be provided. You must enjoy the process of helping students learn.
Requirements
- A strong passion to inspire and groom future leaders in technology – You believe in the potential our youth’s carry and enjoy working with them
- Excellent communication skills and good with young students – You somehow have the knack of explaining difficult concepts in a way that is easy for anyone to understand
- Currently an undergraduate a degree in any discipline
- Some weekend work might be required (For training and shadowing purposes)
