Role Summary
Own our client's Azure cloud infrastructure, DevOps pipelines, and Microsoft 365 tenant, ensuring all cloud-hosted systems are secure, performant, cost-optimised, and reliably deployed. The Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer is also responsible for our client's Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans, working with Singapore IT Infrastructure & Support for physical infrastructure elements. This role works closely with the Cybersecurity & Compliance Analyst and coordinates with the MSSP on network security changes that require infrastructure implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage our client's Azure tenant: Virtual Networks, NSGs, VPN gateways, Entra ID (Azure AD), Key Vault, App Service, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Azure SQL.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for all our client’s application workloads: e-commerce deployments, Power Platform solution releases, D365 hotfix deployments, and Azure Functions.
- Manage infrastructure-as-code using Bicep or Terraform: all Azure resources version-controlled in Azure DevOps; changes deployed through the CAB process.
- Manage Microsoft 365 tenant administration: licensing, group management, SharePoint administration, and Microsoft Teams governance.
- Manage Azure Backup and DR configurations; conduct quarterly DR tests; maintain our client's BCM and DR documentation, including recovery procedures for all critical systems, RTO/RPO targets, and physical infrastructure recovery steps (co-authored with Singapore IT Infrastructure & Support).
- Coordinate with the MSSP on network infrastructure: provide network design documentation, review and approve firewall rule change requests before submission to the MSSP, and implement Azure-side network changes.
- Coordinate with Singapore IT Infrastructure & Support on physical-to-cloud network design: translate store VLAN and network architecture into Azure VPN and routing configurations.
- Monitor Azure infrastructure costs: Cost Management alerts, right-sizing recommendations, and monthly cloud spend reporting.
- The incumbent will deliver essential operational reinforcement and strategic assistance to the client’s primary Singaporean and global business divisions.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of Azure cloud infrastructure experience; at least 3 years managing Azure production environments.
- AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate) certification required.
- Demonstrable hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience: Bicep or Terraform in production.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
- English proficiency at B2 minimum (IELTS 6.0); mandatory assessment at interview.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently: able to design cloud architecture changes, implement through IaC, and execute DR tests without close oversight.
Technical Proficiency

- Azure DevOps: pipelines, repos, artifacts, release management.
- Bicep or Terraform: infrastructure-as-code for all Azure resources.
- Microsoft 365: tenant administration, SharePoint, Teams governance.
- Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Cost Management.
- BCM/DR documentation: RTO/RPO framework, recovery runbook authoring, DR test execution.
Nice to Have
- AZ-305 (Solutions Architect Expert) or AZ-400 (DevOps Engineer Expert).
- AWS fundamentals (for coordination with the AI Platform AWS environment).
- ITIL Foundation.
- Network fundamentals: VLAN, BGP/OSPF basics, firewall rule logic.
