Job description for CEO Office - Finance & Accounting Associate at Talenesia
What You’ll Do
As a Finance & Accounting Associate in the CEO Office, you will not just run traditional finance operations. You will be a builder, leveraging AI and technology to construct the future of our financial systems across four entities.
Your core responsibilities include:
1. Financial Reporting & Systems Build-Out
- Prepare and help review financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow) across business units.
- Build structured, automated financial reporting systems & dashboards to monitor financial performance per entity using AI and other relevant technologies.
- Iterate on systems based on real needs from the finance team and other stakeholders.
2. Cashflow, Payments & AP/AR Support
- Help monitor cashflow and monthly payment plans.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) reporting, tracking, invoicing, billing reminders, reimbursements, and payment transactions.
- Assist with bank, payment gateway, and platform reconciliation.
3. Accounting Operations & SOP Documentation
- Support transaction recording, prepare & review general ledgers, journal entries, and maintain clean, structured financial documentation with a clear audit trail.
- Develop practical, lean finance & accounting SOPs (covering AP/AR, payments, reconciliation, and monthly closing) so workflows are documented and scalable.
2. AI-Powered Automation & Governance
- Use AI and other relevant technologies to build automation, scripts, and internal tools that speed up finance processes end-to-end.
- Act as a cross-functional liaison to the CEO to implement strategic directions and help establish basic internal controls to ensure data accuracy.
Who You Are (Requirements)
- Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree with a preferred GPA >3.5 (GPA 3.3–3.5 may be considered with strong justification, such as a notoriously rigorous major, outstanding achievements, or a standout portfolio).
- Experience: Fresh graduates or early-career professionals with an internship or work experience (maximum 2 years) at an accounting firm, consulting firm, finance startup, or corporate finance function. Strong accounting fundamentals are a hard requirement.
- Organizational Leadership: Proven experience in leadership, coordination, or initiative ownership within a campus organization, committee, or community. You must be able to clearly articulate the concrete impact of that initiative (we look for outcomes, not just a list of titles).
- AI & Technical Fluency:Proficient with Claude Code (or similar AI coding tools) at an advanced level. You should be comfortable building real systems and tools, not just typing basic prompts. Comfortable in a command-line/technical environment and continuously learning new tools. Proficient in advanced spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets); exposure to SQL or no-code tools is a strong plus
