Job description for Barista at From Earth Coffee
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Barista to join our team at LOMA. The ideal candidate should have a deep appreciation for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages.
- Operate and maintain coffee machines and brewing equipment.
- Ensure proper coffee brewing techniques and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and workspace.
- Engage with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash, operate the POS system, and manage transactions accurately.
- Stock and replenish coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
- Follow health and safety regulations, including food hygiene and sanitation standards.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a barista or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Passion for coffee and willingness to learn about different brewing methods.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and handle busy hours with a positive attitude.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality service.
- Flexibility to work mornings and holidays as needed.
- Basic knowledge of latte art is a plus.
