Job description for Backend Engineer at Sadaya
- Analyze business requirements and UX/UI design mockups, and translate it into system architectures, system technical requirements, complexity, and workmanship estimations.
- Collaborate with product managers, front-end engineers, UI/UX designers and the rest of a product development team on implementing product prototypes into high-performance software systems.
- Research, learn and use various back-end development frameworks.
- Implement software development and programming best practices such as; design patterns, TDD (test-driven development), code reviews ( allow someone to check your code), and code coherence (consistent style guide for your codebase).
- Troubleshoot bugs related to any products you’re working on.
- Work across various lifecycle stages of a product, from new products to continuous product improvements through agile (scrum) process.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information System, Engineering or Science from a reputable university.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Good troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Good team player.
- Good knowledge about Algorithms, Data Structure, OOP, Design Patterns and Database Design.
- Experienced with software development tools, such as: Git, SSH, IDE, etc.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and willingness to read and digest large existing source code and take ownership on complex components or subsystems.
- Experienced well using one of back-end web framework, such as:Spring Framework (Java-based). Node.js (JavaScript-based).
- Experienced well using SQL or NoSQL Database technology.
- Experienced well in application integration using RESTFul API.
- Good knowledge with Linux and other open-source technologies.
- Having DevOps skills / knowledge is a plus.
- Having good knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
- Having good knowledge about modern system-architecture, such as: microservices, serverless, is a plus.
