Job description for AWS Cloud Enginner at White Sand Group
- Design cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS
- Utilize AWS managed service to automate common activities needed to provision, run, and support the infrastructure
- Utilize serverless computing on AWS to dynamically manage the allocation of resources
- Configure and integrate microservices using AWS App Mesh and CloudMap
- Set up and maintain EC2/Fargate Cluster using AWS container orchestration services
- Set up and maintain MongoDB cluster using MongoDB Atlas
- Set up and maintain MySQL cluster using AWS RDS
- Create and manage docker deployment pipeline for microservices using AWS CI/CD tools
- Research and keep up to date with new services and features launched by AWS
- Stay on top of best practices to improve existing AWS solutions already in place
- Develop solutions to measure application metrics such as response time, request rate, latency, and errors
- Measure infrastructure metrics such as CPU utilization, memory utilization, disk ops, network, and availability
- Monitor key metrics and make sure service level objectives (SLOs) and service level agreement (SLA) are met
- Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Work well independently as well as in a team setting
- In-depth understanding of a magnitude of AWS services
- Strong understanding of how to secure AWS environments and meet compliance requirements
- Solid foundation of networking and Linux administration
- Proven track record of managing AWS environments for complex mission-critical systems in microservice architecture
- Hands-on experience creating Docker deployment pipeline for microservices
- Hands-on experience implementing event-driven AWS Lambda functions
- Hands-on experience writing infrastructure as code such as Terraform
- Ability to learn/use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
- Fluent in English and Chinese to be able to liaise with required stakeholders
- Experience building APIs in NodeJS
- Frontend development experience
- Mobile app development experience
