Job description for Assistant Teacher at Tropikidz Daycare
TropiKidz Academy is a learning centre inspired by Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches. We provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, explore, and grow with confidence.
We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant Teacher who loves working with young children and is able to communicate in English.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily learning activities and classroom routines.
- Supervise and support children during learning, playtime, meals, and daily activities.
- Prepare and organize learning materials and classroom environments.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom atmosphere.
- Provide emotional support and individual attention to children as needed.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and fellow team members.
Requirements:
- Minimum Senior High School (SMA/SMK) graduate; Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Education, or related fields is preferred.
- Previous experience in a preschool, daycare, childcare center, or early childhood education setting is preferred.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Passionate about working with young children and supporting their development.
- Patient, caring, responsible, and positive in character.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willing to participate in training and professional development programs.
