Job description for Assembly Team Leader at PT WELSON GROUP
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Production Management: Organize and lead daily assembly operations to meet production schedules. This includes allocating workloads and ensuring smooth handovers between shifts.
- Quality Control: Ensure all assembled toys comply with company quality standards, safety regulations, and specifications. Perform, monitor, or lead quality audits on the line.
- Team Leadership & Coaching: Train, mentor, and motivate operators, including onboarding new employees and managing performance.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Problem Solving: Investigate assembly issues, such as machinery malfunctions or defective components, and implement corrective actions.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., lean manufacturing principles) to enhance production efficiency.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production data, including output volumes, downtime, and KPIs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience as a team leader or supervisor in a manufacturing environment, preferably in high-volume assembly.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read assembly drawings, process instructions, and work with Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Leadership: Strong communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot minor machinery or process failures.
- Physical Aptitude: Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ms. Excel & Word must be proficient: pivot table, mail merge, macro's
