Job description for Analyst, Sales & Trading at Alta
- We have big plans to disrupt the traditional fundraising and subsequent liquidity process for private businesses
- You will work with a diverse team of former investment bankers, strategy consultants, and business owners in developing, monitoring, and improving products to facilitate the activity of private investing
- Everything we do is focused on helping build the private capital markets for the next generation of business owners and investors

- Assist the Sales and Trading desk to structure and execute clients' orders on Fundnel or via private market exchange – Hg Exchange (“HGX”)
- Construct and provide innovative trading ideas, structures and solutions to clients guided by data
- Provide execution advisory to clients based on existing market conditions
- To gain a strong understanding (trading systems & routing process) of public exchanges and how they apply to HGX
- To analyse and optimize the use of proprietary data to drive investor targeting and engagement activities
- To perform lead generation and build Fundnel’s network of investors regionally – PE/VC funds, corporate funds, family offices, external asset managers, high net worth angel investors
- To drive deal syndication efforts by engaging with the existing network of investors to discuss active primary and secondary deals
- To gain an understanding of, and familiarity with, the investment process, including due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation of transactions
- Liaise with different departments across the execution chain and provide settlement solutions
- Perform and support middle-office functionality when required
- Maintain day-to-day operations of desk while minimizing market and operational risk
- Relevant experience in structuring, dealing or sales trading experience in institutional equities, private bank client advisory/sales
- Strong numeracy, analytical skills, and well-developed business sense with excellent attention to details
- Experience and/or interest in Financial Technology (“Fintech”) startups and private investments
- Has qualified for and/or currently holds required licenses with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (“MAS”)
- Excellent communication skills, knowledge of a second language is a bonus (Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu/Indonesia)
- Infinite energy and drive to succeed; required to deal in U.S. time zone and over the weekends/public holidays when necessary
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
