Job description for AI Harness Engineer at Quantizant
We are looking for a AI Harness Engineer to help accelerate software delivery using AI-assisted development tools such as Codex, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and related AI engineering tools.
This role is focused on practical software engineering and AI-enabled development workflows, not AI model research.
Responsibilities
- Use AI coding tools to support application development, bug fixing, refactoring, testing, and documentation
- Work with engineering teams to improve software delivery productivity and quality
- Generate and validate unit tests, API tests, and regression test cases
- Support code reviews and ensure AI-generated code meets engineering standards
- Create reusable prompts, templates, and development workflows for AI-assisted engineering
- Integrate AI-assisted workflows into Git, CI/CD, and development processes
- Troubleshoot and debug application and integration issues
- Maintain proper engineering practices, security awareness, and code quality controls
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in software development
- Good understanding of Git, CI/CD, APIs, and software engineering best practices
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as:
- Codex / Codex CLI
- GitHub Copilot
- Claude Code
- Other AI coding assistants
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Able to review and validate AI-generated code independently
- Comfortable working in fast-moving engineering environments
Good to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Experience with automated testing frameworks
- Exposure to DevOps or platform engineering
- Experience supporting enterprise or regulated environments
- Knowledge of secure coding practices
