Job description for Accounts Assistant (Accounts Payable) at Oon & Bazul LLP
Oon & Bazul is looking to hire an Accounts Assistant. The candidate will report to the Finance Manager and support the firm’s Accounts Payable function.
The general scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: -
· Review and process payment vouchers and claims for the Singapore and Malaysia offices
· Prepare payment to internal and external parties for client’s accounts, office accounts and in accordance to the relevant policies, rules and regulations
· Data entry of transactions into the firm’s accounting system
· Liaise with external vendors on invoices and handle discrepancies
· Prepare weekly and monthly payment and expenses reconciliation
· Update and maintain digital and physical procedural documents
· Assist to prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for the Singapore and Malaysia offices
· Process payroll for the Malaysia office, including EPF and SOCSO.
· Submit SST for the Malaysia office.
· Participate in the firm’s annual financial audit
· Undertake other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· IT savvy (basic understanding of MS Outlook and an advanced knowledge of Excel using financial formulas and creating spreadsheets)
· Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience
· Familiar with Singapore’s and Malaysia’s financial regulations
· Excellent organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
· Minimum educational qualification: Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field from a recognised institution
