Job description for Accounts & Admin Assistant at Modern Asia Environmental Holdings Pte Ltd

Position Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts and Admin Assistant to support the Finance and Admin (F&A) team with day-to-day accounting operations. This role involves a variety of tasks across accounting functions, requiring good organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cash Book & Bank Reconciliation: Maintain and update cash book daily; reconcile with bank statements and resolve discrepancies.

• Accounts Receivable (AR): Update AR Aging Report; prepare and issue monthly SOAs; coordinate monthly AR meetings and follow-up.

• Accounts Payable (AP): Verify supplier invoices and payment vouchers with supporting documents.

• Invoicing & Notes: Upload invoices and credit/debit notes to the accounting system; prepare DN/CN and intercompany billing.

• Petty Cash: Manage petty cash disbursements, documentation, and weekly reconciliation.

• GST Filing: Assist in GST preparation and ensure compliance.

• Stock Take: Assist in monthly stock take, include counting and recording and reconciliation.

• Fixed Assets: Maintain fixed asset register and support asset tagging and disposal processes.

• Journal Vouchers: : Prepare journal vouchers monthly

• Balance sheet Schedule: Update the balance sheet monthly

• Road Tax and Insurance: Assist in Road Tax and Insurance Renewal

• Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and assist in internal and external audits.

• General Support: Provide support to the team or cross-functional support during month-end closing

• Others: Perform additional responsibilities and tasks assigned, which may extend beyond the scope of the duties outlined above

Accounting System: Sage 300

Requirements:

• Singaporean / PR

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting or related field

• 1–2 years of relevant experience

• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Accpac)

• Strong attention to detail, able to multitask and meet deadlines

• Good communication and team player
