Account Executive/Account Manager – Industrial AI & Smart Factory Solutions

  • Client: Singapore company
  • Location: Must be physically located in Indonesia, prefer big cities.
  • Salary: Annual Salary USD 18,000 + Estimated OTE Annual Bonus USD 7,500, Open Negotiate
  • Language: Good English (must)
  • Fulltime Hybrid, 10am-7pm SGT, Monday to Friday.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

For this role, we do not just need someone who sell generic SaaS, IT services, or digital transformation. We need salespeople who can speak and relate to industrial customers from day 1 — factories, plants, maintenance teams, engineering teams, operations heads, plant managers, and reliability leaders. The person must be able to understand and resonate with factory stakeholders quickly. They must be effective in holding deep discussions relating to machinery downtime, production losses, maintenance pain points, OT/IT environments, sensors, predictive maintenance, and operational reliability.

Must-have experience:

  • Sold to industrial companies, factories, manufacturing plants, utilities, maritime, energy, or heavy asset operators.
  • Have spoken directly and convinced plant managers, maintenance managers, reliability engineers, operations heads, or engineering leaders.
  • Understands factory / plant pain points such as downtime, machine failure, maintenance cost, production loss, spare parts, manpower constraints, and reliability.
  • Experience selling at least one of these: industrial automation, IIoT, predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, sensors, SCADA, MES, CMMS, OT cybersecurity, industrial software, or asset performance management.
  • Able to explain ROI in operational terms, not just IT terms.

Profiles to avoid:

  • Generic SaaS salespeople.
  • Pure IT / cloud / cybersecurity / endpoint salespeople.
  • CRM / ERP / HR / fintech / e-commerce / logistics software salespeople, unless they also have strong industrial customer exposure.
  • Candidates who only sell to CIOs/CTOs and have no exposure to plant, operations, maintenance, or engineering stakeholders.
  • Candidates who mention “digital transformation” generally but cannot show specific industrial use cases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Sales and Business Development

  • Conduct outreach via calls, emails, and social media to generate qualified leads.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to execute outbound prospecting strategies and campaigns.
  • Research and identify new business opportunities by studying industry trends and our service offerings.
  • Qualify prospects through discovery calls and needs assessments.
  • Utilise a Consultative Selling approach in interactions with key decision-makers to tailor solutions to their industry-specific needs & challenges and generate revenues.
  • Generate a healthy sales pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Meet or exceed annual sales targets

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary contact for new and existing clients, building strong and trust-based partnerships.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by providing ongoing support, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring successful onboarding.
  • Educate clients on the features and benefits of Groundup.ai solutions to maximize their adoption and ROI.

3. Strategic Account Planning

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for key accounts to foster long-term relationships and identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including product and engineering—to relay client feedback and advocate for improvements.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline data, forecasts, and client insights using CRM and analytics tools.
  • Track and report on sales KPIs, client health metrics, and retention data.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development in AI, or industrial technology sectors, with a focus on Consultative Selling.
  • A self-starter with a growth mindset, strong business acumen, and excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable engaging with mid-to-senior-level decision-makers across engineering, operations, and C suite levels.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • CRM proficiency (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and strong presentation skills.
