Job description for Music Keyboard Instructor (Freelance) at Metropolitan YMCA Singapore

We are looking for passionate freelance instructors to join our team to deliver children’s music keyboard classes and help the young learners have fun and be confident when performing the dance movements.

Responsibilities

Conduct enriching keyboard lessons to pre-schoolers of ages 5 to 6 years old
Deliver lessons at allocated locations with the lesson plans provided
Ensure that lessons are implemented according to policies and procedures, aligned with the association’s core values
To conduct assessments and record children’s progress at the end of each term
Maintain safety and hygiene of the children during lessons
Maintain a good rapport with staff and parents
Ensure good care of instruments assigned

Minimum requirements

Grade 8 in Piano from an accredited college
Ability to teach group keyboard lessons ranging from 45 to 60 minutes per lesson
Enthusiastic and passionate in teaching children aged 5-6 years old
Good classroom management skills
At least 2 years of teaching experience of pre-schoolers is preferred
Willing to travel to different centres around Singapore to conduct lessons
MOE and PA-registered will be an advantage

Job Type: Freelance

Salary: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
