Role Summary
The Logistics Manager oversees the efficient movement and storage of goods within our supply chain. Their primary purpose is to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products, managing external third-party logistics (3PL) providers, optimizing transportation, inventory, and warehousing operations. The role is crucial in maintaining seamless coordination between publisher and warehouses, thereby contributing to the organization's overall operational efficiency and cost management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Third-Party Logistics (3PL): Oversee our external logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective product distribution.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with publishers, warehouse, and internal teams to streamline supply chain operations from procurement to delivery.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring that we have sufficient space to manage incoming orders efficiently
- Warehouse Operations: Communicate with Amazon and 3PL to schedule delivery dates in warehouse.
- Budget and Cost Management: Manage logistics budgets, analyzing costs, and implementing strategies to reduce expenses while maintaining service levels.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with Amazon regulatory and safety standards for storage and transportation.
- Problem Resolution: Address logistical challenges, such as delivery delays, by providing quick and effective solutions.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on logistics performance, making data-driven improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., Certified Supply Chain Professional, APICS) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management.
- Proven track record of managing third-party logistics (3PL). Experience with Amazon seller central is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge with Microsoft Excel
- Deep understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, and logistics best practices.
- Familiarity with international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Independent and possess work from home qualities
Special Working Arrangement
- Communications with 3PL outside of default working hours might be required as they are located in US/UK
