Job description for Videographer + Video Editor Internship at Sagensie Corporation

- Working with Creative Production team to determine production vision, create video footage, film, ads, or video product
- Discuss project timeline, brief, narrative structure, story goals, and more with the director, producer, creative managers, and CCO as the project is edited
- Interviewing people and creating film clip via editing raw footage
- Inserting closed captioning, graphics, or other on-screen text into the video
- Adding computer graphics and special effects to a video
- Splice raw film footage together from various sources and shoot, and combine it with other scenes to create a cohesive story
- Evaluate edited footage to make sure it matches the story from the script and meets the narrative agenda of the producer and director of the film, as well as the Creative Production Manager and CCO
- Edit footage into timelines and cut time out of certain shots to create a more impactful story for the audience
- Combine visual footage with audio sound effects, dialogue, ambient sound, and a musical soundtrack to create more drama in the story
- Use computer editing software programs, video switching devices, digital video effects programs, and other tools to piece together film components
- Ensure all editing cuts, splices, changes, and additions appear seamless and natural and help the story flow more effectively in the finished product
- Create sound effects by recording specific audio clips or choose audio effects from a database of sounds to include in the final film
- Figuring out what type of equipment to use
- Cleaning and disassembling of hardware
- Setting up and tearing down cameras, audio recorders, lighting, microphones, and props
- Calibrating and maintaining equipment, as well as troubleshoot problems with the equipment
- Coordinating services of outside vendors (example: equipment rental, etc)
