Job description for Videographer cum Director at Night Owl Cinematics
NOC is looking for a competent Videographer cum Director to join our growing team to produce creative content for the main NOC platforms.
This position reports to the Head of Production and is involved in the creative conceptualisation and execution of long-form and short-form content pieces at Night Owl Cinematics (NOC).
Key responsibilities include:
- Take part in the conceptualisation, storyboarding, and filming of online video content on platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and others.
- Operating camera and lighting equipment
- Providing creative solutions to unforeseen problems on set
- Ensure that all footage required during a shoot are acquired, and footage are shot with a purpose
- Come up with director’s treatments and provide a director’s POV, working with the producer on creative concepts.
- Work with the crew and talents to achieve meaningful and quality content with an authentic angle
- Work with editors to bring your vision to life in post production.
- Collaborate closely with the team to facilitate creation of multimedia content
We are looking for critical thinkers that are highly versatile, motivated, and possess good communication skills. Individuals should also possess the physical strength and dexterity to maneuver their equipment to obtain the best possible shots/angles. This position hence requires individuals to possess both brawns and brains to carry out their role efficiently.
Requirements:
- At least 2 - 3 years of related working experience in Digital Content and Social Media or other related fields is required.
- Keeps up with digital content trends
- Understands process of pre & post-production. (e.g cutting and assembling of raw footage, dubbing, adding sound effects etc.)
- Possess the technical knowledge on the type of equipment(s) being used.
- Fast learner with a positive attitude, able to stay calm under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- You can work independently and excel as a team player
- Ability to work with producer in pre-production on concepts, and to direct crew and talents on set
- Ability to use camera equipment (DSLR, SLR)
- Proficiency in using Adobe Creative Suite(Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro) is a bonus
- Advance fluency in English and Mandarin; other languages will be a (big) plus point
- Possess a positive ‘can-do, will-do’ attitude, and open to receiving constructive criticisms to improve the quality of work
OTHERS
- Normal hours of employment shall be from 11:00 to 19:00, on Mondays to Fridays, 11:00 to 16:00 on Saturdays, excluding public holidays. Some weekends / PH will be burned for shoots.
