Job description for Temporary Quality Assurance Engineer (4 Months) at PT. Mindo Small Business Solutions
Mindo is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to help us test features of web applications/services for one of our client operating in the vacation rental industry. In addition to manual testing, we also develop and maintain automated regression tests.
Please note: This is a temporary, short-term role for a duration of 4 months.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle manual testing process including test design, planning, execution and reporting for web applications and APIs.
- Identify, report, and track software defect/bugs throughout the development lifecycle.
- Build and maintain automated test suites using various test automation tools such as Playwright, Cucumber, or similar tools.
- Participate in regression testing session, release preparation, and monitoring of new feature, improvement, and bug fixes.
- Collaborate with programmers, technical analyst, business stakeholders, and internal end users mainly related to development expectations to ensure high-quality releases.
- Improves QA processes, tools, and documentations.
REQUIREMENTS
We’re currently seeking a team player whom able to work independently with minimal supervision. Software testing often includes complex scenarios with challenging setup in an unconventional development environment, so you need to have great attention to details and having good analytical and problem-solving skills.
QA will work with various roles within the organization, so you need to have good and efficient communication skills (in English and Indonesian). Great writing skill is a must-have to support our flexible and asynchronous work rhythm. EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor degree in computer science, software engineering, or information technology.
- 1+ years of experience as a Software Tester, QA Engineer, or similar role.
- Experience of working on a technology team within a vacation rental, hotel, or browse-and-book business is preferred.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Strong knowledge of software testing fundamentals, methodologies, and techniques.
- Working knowledge of test automation development (make sure to mention your experience of working/learning test automation tools on your CV).
- Good knowledge of Git version control for collaborative development process.
- Hands-on experience in API Testing (REST and GraphQL).
- Solid understanding of database management systems, including ability to use SQL queries to validate/manipulate data.
- Ability to monitor/analyze system logs and troubleshoot based on stack traces before escalating.
- Prior experience in working with AWS architecture is preferred.
