Job description for Systems Engineer at Comfortdelgro Group
Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate the team to meet the maintenance standards of safety, reliability, availability and service of the systems so as to meet the KPI and standards required.
- Lead, troubleshoot and investigate the root cause during major and complex failures, recommend best technical solution to improve the system performance.
- Analyses failure trends and ensure reports are accurate, documentation, manuals and drawings are complete and closed before archived for retrievable for audits.
- Ensure spares inventories and tools are replenished, repaired, calibrated and serviceable for use.
- Perform periodic review of Work Instruction and Risk Assessment, inventories obsolescence and propose of alternative.
- Subject Matter Expert of some systems, mentor and ensure technical staff are competent to perform the required maintenance tasks. Search for alternative parts due to obsolescence and submission of documentation to LTA for Master Replacement Plan.
- Work closely with inter-department to resolve system interfacing failures, liaise with LTA and contractors in A&A and modification works, review of design and T&C of projects before handover.
- Ensure proper documentation and records are complete, and are kept for future audit, such as proper filing and updating of all manuals, drawings, modification, fault reports and work done records.
- Prepare and submission of maintenance report to LTA.
- Facilitate and co-ordinate internal/external audit and LTA audit including submission of follow-up.
- Perform duty as EIC/ AEIC for NEL/ SPLRT and On-Call Duty Officer for S&C.
- Perform appraisal for staff under your management
- To participate in the budget discussion.
- Participate in safety inspection and auditing activities are duly carried out.
- Ensure all safety tours are conducted as planned.
- Ensure that any unsafe practices are reported and corrected accordingly.
Requirements:
- Possess a Bachelor Degree or Poly Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunication / Computer/ Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Preferably at least 6 years of working experience in Signalling or Communication Engineering for degree holder and at least 10 years of working experience in Communication Engineering for diploma holder.
- Strong people, planning and organising skills.
- Good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Matured personality and good team player.
- Resourceful, self-motivated and result-oriented.
