QA Engineer

About Us:
We are built for AI-assisted software development and team collaboration. It connects team members, AI agents, and local or cloud-based computing environments, allowing coding sessions and their context to be preserved, continued, shared, and transferred across different people, agents, and computers.
The product covers web applications, desktop applications, CLI tools, local daemons, real-time relay services, and integrations with AI coding tools such as Codex, Claude Code, and OpenCode.
Responsibilities
1. Own end-to-end quality assurance for OneWorld AI’s web, desktop, CLI, local daemon, and related cloud services.
2. Participate in product requirement and technical design reviews. Develop test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria, while identifying potential risks early.
3. Perform functional, API, integration, end-to-end, compatibility, network resilience, and regression testing.
4. Validate critical workflows, including session creation and execution, AI agent operations, cross-device synchronization, sharing and handoff, local continuation, reconnection, and failure recovery.
5. Test product behavior across macOS, Windows, major web browsers, and different network conditions.
6. Build and maintain automated tests for critical product workflows, improving regression efficiency and overall test coverage.
7. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and help establish reliable release quality gates.
8. Reproduce, investigate, document, and track defects. Bug reports should clearly include reproduction steps, logs, actual results, expected results, and the affected scope.
9. Follow defects through resolution, verify fixes, and ensure that related workflows are covered by regression testing.
10. Work closely with product managers, software engineers, and other team members to continuously improve testing practices and product quality.
Requirements
1. At least three years of professional experience in software testing or quality assurance.
2. Ability to independently handle test analysis, test planning, test-case design, defect investigation, regression testing, and release validation.
3. Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and the ability to identify risks beyond documented product requirements.
4. Basic understanding of HTTP, WebSocket, APIs, authentication, authorization, and client-side state synchronization.
5. Ability to analyze logs, JSON data, API responses, and basic source code to determine where a problem is occurring.
6. Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or a comparable automated testing framework.
7. Working knowledge of at least one programming language, preferably JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
8. Familiarity with GitHub or GitLab workflows, including repositories, branches, commits, issues, pull or merge requests, code review, and CI/CD.
9. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to follow issues through to completion.
10. Professional English reading and writing skills sufficient for technical documentation, issue tracking, and daily collaboration.
11. Applicants must currently reside and perform their work in Southeast Asia, with a stable remote-working environment.
12. Ability to maintain sufficient working-hour overlap with the team in the Beijing time zone.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, or OpenCode.
2. Experience testing AI coding products, developer tools, complex SaaS platforms, or desktop applications.
3. Experience with Electron, CLI applications, local daemons, WebSocket communication, or distributed systems.
4. Experience testing applications across macOS and Windows.
5. Experience with multi-tenant authorization, concurrency, unreliable networks, failure recovery, performance testing, or security testing.
6. Experience building an automated testing framework, QA process, or release quality system from the ground up.
7. Strong exploratory testing skills and the ability to identify issues not covered by standard test cases or requirement documents.
