Job description for Social Media Strategist (Hotel & Restaurant - Gili Trawangan) at Raya Group

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media & Content Planning: Develop, plan, and execute aesthetic, strategic content calendars across Instagram and TikTok specifically tailored for our hotel and restaurant in Gili.

On-Site Content Execution (Taking Content): End-to-end hands-on production. You will capture and shoot high-quality, engaging visual assets (photos and short-form videos) showcasing the island lifestyle, food & beverage, room experiences, guest vibes, and events.

Editing: Edit short-form videos (IG Reels and IG Story) and static assets using mobile or desktop tools (CapCut, Canva, Lightroom, VN, etc.) with a strong eye for transitions, pacing, audio trends, and brand alignment.

Copywriting & Publishing: Write catchy, on-brand captions and publish content consistently according to the planned timeline.

Trend Spotting & Engagement: Stay on top of viral hospitality/F&B trends, memes, and audio, and implement them quickly. Monitor and engage with the community via DMs, comments, and online reviews (Instagram, TikTok, Google Reviews, and Tripadvisor).

Qualifications:

  • Location: Willing to be based in or relocate/travel frequently to the Gili Islands.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Content Creator, Social Media Specialist, or Strategist, preferably in the hospitality, F&B, or lifestyle scene.
  • Hands-on Creative: Proven ability to shoot/take content beautifully using a smartphone or camera, and a pro at editing videos on the go (CapCut/VN wizardry is a must).
  • Island Vibes & Aesthetic Eye: You understand the visual language of a tropical destination, luxury/lifestyle hospitality, and appetizing food photography.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken) to communicate effectively with our international guest demographic in Gili.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently while staying connected with the main marketing team.
  • Bonus points: Familiar with Meta Business Suite and basic social media analytics.
