Job description for Social Media Marketing Intern at Hoow Foods Pte. Ltd.
About the company
Hoow Foods is a food technology startup focused on the restructuring of foods to modify their nutritional profiles, with health as a priority. Modified food products are improved with regards to sugar, fat, protein, fiber and glycemic index, and this is generated from a platform technology that allows for reverse engineering of existing products and food chemistry-based substitution of ingredients.
Hoow Foods is launching an internship programme under its new plant-based subsidiary – Hegg Foods, to assist and oversee the commercialisation, execution of deals and partnerships with external organisations. The venture focuses on developing novel sustainable food products that address growing consumer demands for healthier plant-based alternatives that are environmentally-friendly.
Summary
Work with the team to create marketing campaign and go-to-market strategies for businesses and customers, while managing content creation and social media channels.
Job Responsibilities
Community Management
- Monitor and respond to posts and comments across Heggs' social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
Content Creation
- Plan and execute engaging social content (posts/ Instastories/ blogs/ videos) together with the team
- Co-author thought leadership articles for LinkedIn and Medium
- Develop content calendars on a weekly and monthly basis
Campaign Support
- Work with the team to create and implement education and awareness campaigns as part of Hegg products’ launch
Activation Support
- Provide social media coverage during key periods with activations with partner F&B establishments
Analytics
- Work with the team to monitor social media analytics and develop new ideas to optimise advertising reach and engagement
Job Requirements
Education
Applicant must be a polytechnic or university student
Competencies
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Interest in marketing, communications, social media and brand management
- A team player, takes initiative and is able to work collaboratively in a team
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented
- Creative with the ability to ideate and communicate effectively
- Working knowledge of social media
- Basic photography, Photoshop, video editing and copywriting skills
- Illustrator and videography skills are a plus
Timeline
- Applicants who are able to start immediately or in October 2021 are preferred
- Minimum of 3 months commitment
- Minimum of 3 working days per week
Working Hours
- Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are preferred. Work days are open for discussion.
- 10am to 5pm
