Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree.
- Over 2 years of relevant work experience as either an Inventory Specialist, Operations Specialist, or in similar positions.
- Proficient in Office suites, such as Excel / Google Sheets.
- Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Motivated, a self-starter, and a team player with willingness to learn new things.
- Demonstrate initiative and proactiveness.
- Having a sound judgement, good reasoning abilities, organising, and time management, with analytical / problem-solving skills will be helpful in this role.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure product stocks are sufficient for all e-Commerce stores, to meet and achieve the targeted sales’ goals.
- Monitor products / supplies’ levels, to anticipate inventory problems and shortages, and report to both store managers and fulfilment partner, respectively.
- Provide inventory status report or inventory forecast upon request, to assist the fulfilment partner and marketing team in planning inventory and store merchandising.
- Devise and recommend ways to optimize inventory control procedure, to meet the needs of the business where necessary.
- Research products and compare selling prices against competitors’ stores, to stay viable in our products’ range and selling prices.
- To be proactive in negotiation, with our suppliers’ partners for price reduction, rebate, and markdown in the cost of goods and other promotions, to increase revenue and profit.
- Attend weekly virtual meeting with the marketing team to provide updates, and to share ideas in areas of improvement.
- Work with IT team, where necessary, to improve on the accuracy and efficiency of the stock management system.
- Monitor the accuracy of stock management system.
- Act as a Project Manager on stock-related tasks and projects and report to the marketing team and our fulfilment partner.
- Act as Project Manager on general inventory operations’ tasks and projects and report to the marketing and IT team.
- Create requests and follow-up with the fulfilment partner, on procurement of new products’ additions to the stores’ catalogues by the marketing team, to increase revenue from our e-Commerce stores.
