Job description
- Manages & maintain all syndicated & proprietary research systems within DVMG
- Trains staff on the best & appropriate use of our research assets.
- Manage research supplier relationships, including quality control of their products, negotiation of contracts & fees
- Conducts in house research (Quanti/Quali) when requested, using Survey Monkey and other means as relevant (including developing survey questionnaire & Vox Pops)
- Disseminate research studies of relevance to the planning teams on a regular and timely basis
- Proposes new research suppliers or new techniques or survey as needed and proactively
- Works collaboratively with all DVMG agencies in co-pitches or assists with their RFP’s , pitches, etc, including final presentations
- Researches, analyzes and monitors the competiton & their research products to ensure DVMG has competitive advantage
- Assists in recommending, establishing, and being accountable to implement strategic and / or tactical new business marketing plans designed to achieve agency goals and objectives.
- Has knowledge of and supports the agency’s mission, culture, confidentiality, standards, etc.
- Maintain a resource library of all journals, books, papers, online sources.
- Act as senior liaison with client on all research issues
- Work with clients, where required, to conduct research for them OR liase with their research suppliers to aid in design.
- Be proactive in informing and proposing new research opportunities to the client
- Seek opportunities to farm existing accounts for new revenue opportunities
- Help provide research case studies of effective media strategies & innovative media to highlight our strengths
- Provide relevant case studies that support our media plans & strategies (this includes sources such as WARC)
- Manages the research suppliers contracts including negotiation of annual/user fee.
- Provides cost information needed with all required research for annual business planning & P & L
- Assists on preparing the annual business plan with clear NBD strategies, action plan and objectives
- Attend clients meetings as needed when relevant to research
- Provide weekly & Monthly reports
- Personally train or liase with research supplier to train staff in the use of all research products.
- Train agency staff and other support staff on media research techniques and standards.
