Job description for Remote Video Editor - Social Media Content at Mansa Computers
We are looking for team members to join our Malaysia Office!
Key Responsibilities:
- Create engaging short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, with occasional long-form content for YouTube.
- Follow provided scripts and guidelines to develop high-quality video content, and gradually introduce creative concepts as the role evolves.
- Manage the day-to-day editing tasks, ensuring timely completion and consistency across all social media platforms.
- Collaborate on content ideas, and help transform concepts into compelling visual stories.
- Design compelling thumbnails for each video to attract viewers.
- Utilize modern editing techniques to manipulate, trim, and enhance footage with sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects.
- Ensure each video delivers the brand message clearly and effectively while maintaining high-quality standards.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in editing content for social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Familiarity with video editing software such as DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, or CapCut Pro.
- Ability to work remotely with self-discipline and manage tight schedules, delivering a 1-minute video within 24-48 hours.
- Strong attention to detail, a creative mindset, and the ability to adapt content to meet engagement goals.
- Skills in creating visually appealing thumbnails designed to maximize click-through rates.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role, particularly with a focus on short-form content for social media.
- Ability to work collaboratively with scriptwriters, but also bring personal creativity into video production over time.
- Knowledge of basic graphic design principles for effective thumbnail creation.
- Enthusiastic about staying up-to-date with social media trends and video editing techniques.
- English literacy (spoken and written) required.
KPIs:
- Video Turnaround Time: 1-minute video within 24-48 hours.
- Engagement Rate: Increase engagement across platforms (e.g., likes, shares, comments).
- View Metrics: Drive an increase in average views per video.
- Click-Through Rate: Measured through the effectiveness of thumbnails.
- Reporting and Accountability: Be contactable during work hours and be prompt with communications.
