Job description for Quantity Surveyor at Allinton Engineering & Trading Pte Ltd
- Study the architecture & structural drawings provided by clients and taking into consideration of our ex-stock availability in preparing estimate quantity take-off and tender cost estimates
- Prepare and compile all tender related submissions (contract, pricing, drawings, Bill of Quantity, Terms & Conditions, Scope of Work and specifications)
- Attend site meeting and liaise with main contractors, consultants, relevant authorities and internal departments in resolving technical issues
- Site visit to monitor site work progress and site condition
- Preparation and timely submission of Monthly Progress Claims including re-measurement of quantities, variation orders including changes on site, and settlement of final account
- To ensure receipt of payment responses from main contractors. To ensure that work done certified by the main contractors is tally with actual work done carried out on site
- Prepare cost planning and budget cost control
- Source and negotiate with key local and overseas suppliers and obtain price estimates from supplier and assess for shortlisting
- Manage purchasing cycle (issuance of PO, requesting for quotation, goods receipt, billing and shipment)
- Monitor and arrange Mock up inspection and sample on site
- Prepare, monitor and arrange site testing
- Work closely with the Sales Team & Design Team
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Management
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Organized and able to handle stress
- Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field
