Position Title : Quality Assurance Executive
Reports to : Quality Assurance, Manager
Consult with : Functional Departments – Warehouse, Production, Logistics, Procurement, Sales, Marketing
· Perform daily periodic walk-around of production and warehouse area to ensure compliance is maintained at all times (in-house GHP/GMP/GWP standards, FG specification, SOP)
· To witness and supervise, ensuring that handling and processing operations are in accordance with the general guidelines of Halal food within the premises.
· Conduct random checks on incoming raw material to ensure product wholesomeness, free of foreign material and defects etc.
· Prepare and maintain raw material specifications, in-house process procedures and documentation (checklists, microbial test report, COA, complaint log, vendor evaluation form, calibration report, Halal invoices / production planning / certificate etc.).
· Conduct process verification and validation exercise i.e. SOP / Machinery / CCP verification, new product launch process observation, machinery cleanliness check via ATP swab, monthly facilities check, mock recall exercise, FG shelf-life verification and to put in records.
· Involve in the investigations of product / process non-compliance (on-site and customer complaints), provide report and follow-up on proposed corrective and preventive measures to ensure effectiveness.
· Follow-up with Procurement on investigation and corrective actions on raw material complaint / feedbacks
· Study product specification, SDS, COA, product labelling, process flow of new raw material and put up recommendation for approval in terms of food safety prospects
· Ensure quality and food safety standards of FG are maintaine through scheduled lab test, sensory evaluation and conduct process checks.
· Conduct data analysis on non-conformity raw material of reoccurrence incidence
· Conduct and submit report to supervisor for all audits conducted i.e. Warehouse, supplier assessment (local and overseas) etc
· Assist in internal audit and support external audits i.e. HACCP, 3rd party supplier assessment
· Conduct annual refresher or ad-hoc training to production staff i.e. application of chemical, GHP / GMP / GWP, food safety management system etc.
· Keep up with the latest circular from SFA; participate and support quality system implementation (audit activities by government sectors, certification bodies and customers)
· Report all non-conformity matters with regards to food quality or safety to supervisor.
· Other project as assigned
· Minimum Diploma in Food Science & Technology or its equivalent
· Relevant working experience in the food industry preferred (Fresh grads are welcome too)
· Experience working with SFA and MUIS
· Good working knowledge of HACCP, GMP
· Good knowledge in food labelling, Nutrition Information Panel & related regulatory requirements
· Team player with strong interpersonal, problem analysis and solving skills
· Good interpersonal skills with the attributes of a team player and a keen eye for details.
· Possess a positive attitude and learning mindset.
· Able to work on alternate Saturday (Half day)
