The Role We are looking for a Public Sector Solutions Consultant to help government agencies, GLCs, and public sector organizations modernize the way they acquire, manage, and refresh their technology assets. This is not a traditional sales role — it is a consultative position where you will act as a trusted advisor, guiding public sector clients through complex procurement processes, tender submissions, and long-term technology lifecycle strategies that deliver measurable value and sustainability outcomes.
What You Will Do
• Build and nurture strategic relationships with government agencies, ministries, GLCs, and public sector decision-makers.
• Navigate complex public sector procurement processes, including tender documentation, quotation submissions, and contract negotiations.
• Conduct needs assessments with public sector clients to design tailored DaaS and Technology Lifecycle Management solutions.
• Prepare compelling proposals, business cases, and presentations that align with government digital transformation and ESG agendas.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Tech Support, and Finance teams to ensure seamless project delivery and account management.
• Monitor government policies, budget cycles, and digitalization initiatives (e.g., MAMPU, MDEC, MyDIGITAL) to identify new opportunities.
• Represent Rentalworks at industry events, government briefings, and technology exhibitions.
• Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets while contributing to the company’s ESG and circular economy mission.
What We Are Looking For
• Must be a Malay candidate due to the nature of the job, which requires extensive engagement, relationship-building, and nuanced communication with government ministries, GLCs, and public sector stakeholders.
• Degree or Diploma in Business, Public Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in B2B business development, preferably within the public sector, GLC, or government-linked environment.
• Strong understanding of government procurement processes, tender submissions, and public sector decision-making.
• Excellent command of Bahasa Malaysia (professional/native proficiency required) and English.
• Proven track record of building relationships with senior government stakeholders.
• Strong presentation, negotiation, and proposal-writing skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
• Valid driving license and own transport (required for client site visits).
• Experience in IT Services, DaaS, SaaS, or Technology Lifecycle Management is a strong advantage.

Key responsibilities include conducting market research to understand client needs, presenting tailored rental solutions, maintaining strong customer relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery. The role also involves creating and implementing sales strategies, managing client accounts, and providing ongoing support to ensure long-term satisfaction and repeat business.
We are looking for candidates who hold an Associate Degree and have between 1 to 3 years of experience in sales or related fields. Ideal candidates will possess strong skills in customer service, engagement, and relationship management, as well as experience in both B2B and B2C sales environments. Proficiency in sales strategy, marketing, and communication is essential, along with the ability to manage accounts effectively.
