Job description for PLM Engineer at Modmo
- Install, upgrade and patch our PLM environments.
- Create, modify and maintain workflows within the PLM system.
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly PLM system checks and report issues to the Infrastructure Manager.
- Upgrade our PLM applications, working with other IT roles to ensure our PLM users are using supported application environments.
- Part of the project team introducing changes to EBOM's, MBOM's and new processes, and changes to processes, like change management.
- To undertake and assist with projects as required by your manager.
- Working with our Design Engineers to understand their requirements.
- Document PLM processes and create associated training materials, procedures and work instructions to support the business.
- Training Our Engineers in the correct use of the PLM tools available.
- To undertake and assist with projects as required by your manager.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required by your Manager
- Training will be provided for our PLM/ERP environment.
- Previous PLM experience and advantage.
- BA in electronic or mechanical engineering or relevant work experience.
- Ability to understand and analyse complex information and share it in effective and powerful communications
- Ability to take responsibility, work proactively and continuously improve activities in complex, quickly transforming environments
- Ability to draft technical documents and reports to a good standard
- Good communication skills are a must as any applicant will be expected to talk to different departments at different levels as a matter of course
- Experience of using the Microsoft Office suite of tools
- Attention to detail is essential
- Proficient in Microsoft Office365
- Excellent/fluent English
- Ability to understand people psychology and to connect to people to encourage new behaviors
