Job description
Key Roles and Responsibilities of Operations Engineer
- Manage and support Operations & Maintenance activities on the Submarine and terrestrial networks
- Monitor Data Centre connectivity within region
- Point of contact for project deliverables
- Coordinate with regional Team in Malaysia and Indonesia
- Support Field Operations and troubleshooting activities on DWDM/Facility Management
- Perform regular check on system Network Health and Performance
- Coordinate with 24/7 NOC for troubleshooting
- Implement and maintain best practices for Fault Resolution
- Conduct Site visits to maintain network smooth operations
- Supervise upgrading activities in POPs and CLS
- Available on call 24/7 standby
- Coordinate and manage vendor for routine activities
- Maintain inventory
- Maintain daily and weekly reports
- Maintain circuit provisioning records
- Coordinate for circuit provisioning
- Involve in technical discussions to improve network performance and future deployment
- Perform any other activities tasked by management
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Telecommunications, Engineering or Information Technology
- 2-3 years of working experience in Telecommunications industry
- Skilled with Optical Network Technology
- Familiar with DWDM/SDH
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Required language: English and Mandarin
