As the company continues to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and enhance plant performance, it is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable production while driving continuous operational improvements. This role will report directly to the Plant Director and collaborate closely with Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), Supply Chain, Research & Development (R&D), and other cross-functional teams to achieve manufacturing excellence.
Job Brief:
Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Manufacturing Manager to lead the overall manufacturing operations within its production facility. Reporting directly to the Plant Director, this role is responsible for overseeing Production, Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, and daily manufacturing activities to ensure optimal plant performance, equipment reliability, product quality, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership capabilities, sound mechanical engineering knowledge, and extensive experience managing manufacturing operations within a chemical or process manufacturing environment. This individual will play a key role in driving productivity improvements, optimizing manufacturing processes, strengthening cross-functional collaboration, and fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Job Description:
- Lead and oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production activities.
- Manage Production, Engineering, and Mechanical Maintenance functions to achieve manufacturing targets and operational excellence.
- Ensure production plans are executed effectively while maintaining product quality, cost efficiency, and delivery performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing productivity, equipment reliability, process efficiency, and overall plant performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), minimize downtime, and optimize manufacturing capacity.
- Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives for production disruptions, equipment failures, and operational challenges, implementing sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate closely with QA, QC, R&D, Supply Chain, and other plant functions to ensure smooth manufacturing operations and consistent product quality.
- Oversee maintenance planning and engineering activities to ensure production equipment and plant utilities operate at optimal performance.
- Monitor manufacturing KPIs and identify opportunities to improve productivity, operational efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
- Lead engineering and operational improvement projects, including equipment upgrades, process optimization, and manufacturing enhancement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, engineering standards, quality systems, environmental regulations, and workplace safety requirements.
- Prepare manufacturing performance reports, operational analyses, and improvement recommendations for Plant Management.
- Build, develop, and coach production and engineering teams to strengthen technical capabilities, leadership, and overall organizational performance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, teamwork, and operational discipline throughout the manufacturing organization.
- Stay updated with manufacturing technologies, engineering best practices, and industry developments to continuously improve plant performance.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Manufacturing, Production, Plant Operations, Engineering, or Maintenance within the manufacturing industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial or people leadership role overseeing manufacturing operations.
- Experience within the chemical manufacturing industry is highly preferred; candidates from other process manufacturing industries are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production management, mechanical systems, plant engineering, and maintenance management.
- Proven experience leading Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams in achieving operational and business objectives.
- Demonstrated success in improving manufacturing productivity, equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and cost performance.
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other operational excellence practices.
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable corrective and preventive actions for manufacturing and operational issues.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing KPIs, including OEE, downtime analysis, production efficiency, MTBF, and MTTR.
- Strong knowledge of engineering safety, quality management systems, and manufacturing compliance standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple plant functions.
- Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving skills, and sound decision-making capabilities.
- Results-oriented, highly accountable, and capable of leading organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity
Range Salary : 40Mio - 50Mio nett/Month
