Job Description
We are looking for a motivated Junior System Engineer – Infrastructure to join our IT infrastructure team. The successful candidate will support the administration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with Windows Server, virtualization, Microsoft Azure, networking, backup, storage, and infrastructure security technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Support Windows Server environments across on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
Assist with Active Directory, Group Policy, domain controllers, and authentication services.
Support DNS, DHCP, RADIUS (NPS), and Certificate Authority services.
Assist with Microsoft Azure services, including Microsoft Entra ID, Azure VMs, Azure Backup, Azure Networking, Azure Monitor, and Azure Site Recovery.
Support hybrid integration between on-premises infrastructure and Microsoft Azure.
Administer and support VMware and Hyper-V virtualization environments.
Support SAN storage, backup, recovery, and infrastructure-monitoring activities.
Assist with backup maintenance, integrity checks, and scheduled recovery testing.
Monitor infrastructure health and troubleshoot server, virtualization, network, and system issues.
Support access controls, MFA, security policies, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
Assist senior engineers with infrastructure migrations, upgrades, deployments, and improvement projects.
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors when required.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation and operating procedures.
Use PowerShell or other scripting tools to automate routine administrative activities where applicable.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Relevant experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, desktop support, or technical support.
Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
Exposure to VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization environments.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and hybrid-cloud environments is advantageous.
Basic knowledge of backup, storage, networking, and infrastructure-security concepts.
Basic PowerShell scripting knowledge is advantageous.
Good troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
Strong willingness to learn and develop technical expertise.
