Job description for Junior Fashion Designer at BIASA Group
- Applies a solid working knowledge of fashion trends and consumer needs to product designs.
- Performed research and sourcing for any possibility of vendors collaborating.
- Responsible for completion of tech pack along with all details and passing completed spec to Production teams
- Work closely with the team to determine style, materials, and color to develop a successful product based on feedback, incorporating it for finalization.
- Track and organize development samples, ensuring they are delivered within required timelines and seamlessly passed off to key parties.
- Utilize resources in sourcing new ideas, both internally and externally, and stay up to date on competitor research/trend analysis.
- Creating and developing artwork, color pallets, and mood boards for upcoming collections.
- Undertaking research as well as finding and compiling images and information as briefed by the Creative Direction team to formulate design concepts
- Self-motivated development of presentation building/designing skills to further elevate Creative Direction presentations.
- Partner with technical design on fit and execution of prototypes, assisting with scheduled fittings and necessary follow-up
- Seek to improve the process in order to deliver efficiently with speed/agility, and be able to keep up in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Art and Design specializing in Product Design/ Craft/ Fashion Design
- At least have 1 year of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Drawing and computer illustration skills; curate and create corporate Artwork across a range of formats using Adobe Creative Cloud and programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
- Strong fashion sense with an ability to translate into product assortment; ability to communicate and articulate trends
- High-level execution, organization, and design skills with a methodical approach to work and meticulous attention to detail the ability to work to deadlines
- Advanced skills in English (listening, writing, speaking, and reading), and skills in other languages are plus points
- Communication skills to engage with designers, and vendors, and to provide progress updates at every stage of the design and artwork process.
