What Your Day to Day will look like:
Whether leading a team of five or 50, your duties as an insurance unit manager are rooted in strategy, education, and mentorship.
Set and Monitor Team Sales Goals
The primary responsibility of an insurance unit manager is to decide how many policies or upgrades should be sold in a given period, then oversee the team’s progress to ensure they meet those goals. You will support your team’s progress by providing strategies, feedback, and marketing campaigns.
Facilitate Professional Development of Team
As a great leader, your team’s professional development should be constantly top of mind. You will be empowered with the autonomy to research ways to improve sales skills by attending meetings, reading books, or taking courses, then impart that knowledge to your team. You will also hold performance review meetings with individuals and the whole group, offer personalized coaching, and foster a positive company culture.
Provide Customer Service Support
Should a sales agent on the team be unable to answer a customer’s question or provide satisfactory service, you will always be ready and willing to step in to help.
You will be on the constant lookout to hire high potential sales agents for you to make a positive impact on. You will head hunt, interview potential candidates, and onboard new recruits.
Skills and Qualifications We are Looking for:
Minimum 3 years in the insurance industry.
Strong sales acumen – you must have a talent for sales and a commitment to learning new strategies.
In depth industry knowledge – great understand of the agency’s policies and products inside and out.
Coaching – you must be proficient at educating others in a way that ensures information makes a lasting impression and can be easily applied to the job.
Leadership skills – you must possess a balance of assertiveness and empathy.
Interpersonal skills – communicating effectively with others is not only useful for leading a team of sales agents, but for providing excellent customer service.
Basic salary + commission + incentive to qualified candidates
