Job description
This position is based at the DAS Head Office in Jurong Point.
The ICT Officer reports to the Senior Manager, Corporate Services. He/ she is part of a team that provides support and maintenance of the Student Management System (SMS), and delivers technology solutions to improve productivity and cost efficiency for the organisation.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Provide support and training to end-users on the use of computers and peripheral devices
- Provide end-user training and administrative support to Google G Suite (Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Forms etc), Intranet, IT Asset Tracking Management and other ICT administrative functions
- Do maintenance and backup/restore of network systems (servers, firewalls, routers, VPNs etc) ensuring highest availability rate
- Be familiar with all aspects of the operations in order to incorporate functionalities in the Student Management System (SMS)
- Liaise with ICT Service Providers and Vendors.
Pre-requisites:
- Higher NITEC in Business Information Systems or IT Systems & Networks, OR
- A recognised diploma or degree in Information & Communication Technology or related disciplines
- Basic knowledge of Cloud Computing Solutions and Implementations
- Basic knowledge of Networking Support
- Experience in coordination and implementation of computer and peripheral systems
- Experience in providing Internet accessibility at work places

Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) is a vibrant social service organisation with over 250 full-time staff, providing a wide array of services for individuals with dyslexia. Our clients are from Singapore and the region.
As a one-stop centre, DAS’ services include providing psychological assessment services for individuals at risk of having dyslexia and/or specific learning differences, and providing educational programmes and other support services for individuals with dyslexia and/or specific learning differences.
DAS have 14 learning centres around Singapore, serving over 3,000 children ranging from pre-schoolers to secondary school students. Our workforce is composed of a multi-disciplinary team of Psychologists, Speech-Language Therapists and Educational Therapists. This group integrates with the team of lecturers, marketing and operations teams to educate professionals, teachers and parents on dyslexia and how to support a dyslexic child. This approach ensures that the physical, social, psychological, emotional and even financial needs of the DAS students are looked into.
In addition, DAS is continuously raising public and professional awareness of the nature and incidence of dyslexia and specific learning differences.
