Job description for Graphic & Video Designer (Global Operations) at Talentport
We are looking for a reliable, self-sufficient Graphic Designer/Graphic & Video Designer who can consistently deliver polished, on-brand work including under tight deadlines and high-stakes, external-facing conditions. This role requires strong design fundamentals combined with sound judgment, clear communication, and dependable working conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Creation & Video Editing: Develop high-quality designs and video content for social media, websites, email marketing, blogs, and print materials that align with each brand's identity.
- Stay Trend-Savvy: Monitor social media trends, challenges, and viral formats, integrating them into designs that engage and resonate with our audience.
- Brand Consistency & Development: Adapt designs to fit the unique voice of Ashraff Cafe, Komunal, MIJ Hub SG, and MIJ Hub MY, while maintaining visual consistency across all platforms.
- Campaign Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to design visual assets for marketing campaigns, including product launches and seasonal promotions.
- UI/UX Focus (Preferred, not required): Apply UI/UX design principles to create visually appealing, user-friendly designs for websites and landing pages, based on how users actually navigate and interpret content.
- Design for Conversions: Work with the growth team to design high-conversion assets (calls-to-action, product images) for landing pages, ads, emails, and social media campaigns.
- Email Marketing Design: Design email templates for newsletters and product promotions, optimizing for open rates and click-through rates.
- Cross-Brand Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and growth teams to ensure that visual content aligns with broader marketing goals and growth strategies for each brand.
- Take Ownership & Drive Creativity: Manage design projects independently, ensuring that designs meet brand standards and are delivered on time. Proactively suggest improvements and new design ideas.
- Reliable, High-Stakes Delivery: Prioritize and manage multiple design requests with varying urgency, and deliver polished, usable work for high-visibility, external-facing moments (e.g., product launches, events) without last-minute risk.
- Navigating Ambiguity: Translate broad or evolving briefs into effective design solutions, asking clarifying questions where needed rather than waiting for exhaustive instructions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate proactively and clearly with marketing, growth, and brand stakeholders to align on requirements, timelines, and feedback.

o Comfortable working with cross-functional/business stakeholders, not just creative teams
Working Style
- Proven ability to manage fast turnarounds and re-prioritize under pressure
- Comfortable operating with incomplete or evolving briefs; asks the right questions rather than guessing
