Job description for Fund Operation Intern (Venture Capital) at TNB AURA

We are looking for talented and motivated students to join us. You will have the opportunity of working closely with a team of top tier investors who have inspiring ideas of VC industry in Southeast Asia. During the program, you will build a good understanding of the venture capital industry, discover in-depth knowledge of the SEA start-up landscape, and gain hands-on investment experience.
Program Elements:
· Onboarding Week and VC 101: 1-on-1 sessions with all management team members.
· New Investor Onboarding: Support for investor onboarding for the newly launched funds, including the preparation of legal forms and KYC checks based on MAS’s requirements
· Payment and Cash Management: Support for the staff expense claims, reimbursement and vendor invoices payment and maintain the daily operation for cash account
· Accounting and Audit: Familiarise with the full cycle of fund accounting, including the equalization and calculation of ending NAV, support for the preparation of financial reports and coordinate with fund admin and auditors
· Corporate Secretary: Support for the execution of legal forms for the acquisition of the deals and subsequent closings
· Data management: Support for database administration, maintenance of formal records and logging data
· Ad hoc projects: Assist in the launch of Affinity and the admin playbook update
Requirements:
· University degree in finance/accounting or commensurate experience
· Strong interest in fund operations and fund admin
· Progress and expectations will be adjusted according to the level of experience of candidate
· Understanding and interest of the VC ecosystem and tech scene in Southeast Asia.
· Highly motivated, self-driven, diligent and accountable
· Ability to work independently and within a team context
· Demonstrated customer service and continuous improvement focus
