Job Description
As a full stack engineer (backend focused) you will be involded in conceptualizing and designing product/project ideas into rock solid implementation. This includes designing database schema, backend services, APIs, and writing the codes for gluing the communication between the backend and frontend system. You are also not afraid of looking at the frontend codes and implementing necessary stylesheet or client side scripts to ensure smooth interaction between the frontend and backend system.
You have good analytical skill and are comfortable at looking at legacy code and can adapt to existing business process for patching or fixing bags and also transforming transforming legacy system into a more modern yet maintainable one.
Qualification
- Strong analytical skill
- Fast learner and self-driven
- Able to work independently and also as a part of a team
- Comfortable with English especially for reading technical documentation
Preferred Qualification
- Familiarity with Wordpress, Moodle, Drupal
- Familiarity with PHP and Laravel framework
- Familiarity with one of the modern front end frameworks (ReactJS, VueJS)
- Familiarity with one of other backend frameworks (NodeJS/ExpressJS, Python/Django, Java/Spring Framework)
- Familiarity with one of the relational DBs (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Familiarity with nosql / time series DBs (MongoDB, HBase, TimescaleDB)
- Familiarity with Hadoop ecosystem
- Past or current involvement in open source projects
- Educational background from STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) field
