Job description for E-Commerce Operations Manager at Le Petit Society
- Should your qualifications fit our requirements, you will be a key person involved with Le Petit Society's various functions.
- On a day to day basis you will manage a team of operation associates at the fulfilment centre and customer service staff in stores and ensure the smooth and efficient running of our fulfilment centre operations from picking and packing; last mile delivery to overseeing customer requests and customer return processes.
- On a weekly and monthly basis, you will be responsible for generating reports on sell-through, updating suppliers on monthly sales and ensuring inventory levels are accurate across the warehouse and physical stores. You will play a role in making sure all company sales channels (e-commerce, physical stores etc) are well stocked to maximise sales in collaboration with the sales and marketing team.
- On a quarterly basis, you are expected to implement work process improvement initiatives across the company to increase the level of productivity and systematically reduce fixed and variable costs over time. This would also involve rolling out technology upgrades to existing backend systems and training and onboarding of new staff to operate efficiently.
- You will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and thus be working closely with company leadership to spearhead change and formalise efficient workflow processes across the organisation.

- Highly organised and able to handle budgets, ability to take ownership and negotiate with business enablers such as suppliers, logistics partners and sensitive to the various costs to the business and make suggestions based on actual data to increase company profitability;

- Able to recognise business risk areas and offer solutions to reduce business impact in the worst case scenarios;

- Mentor, manage and develop existing operations team.
- Recognise gaps in the operations/customer service team and work closely with COO to hire the right people to fill the gaps to build a robust and highly efficient operations and customer service team.
- Begin with a hands on approach and formalise efficient work processes as team expands.
- Develop and formalise KPIs for fulfilment performance;
- Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and implement them for company fulfilment operations from receiving products from suppliers to transfers between stores and warehouses, pick and pack operations, last mile delivery and handling customer requests and customer returns.
- Manage and drive the implementation of sales strategies in consultation with CEO and COO through other third party e-commerce channels such as Lazada, Amazon etc to increase sales of Le Petit Society branded products to complement company owned channels.
- Be highly sensitive to all operational costs and report to the CFO to update inventory levels and to help identify inefficiencies and areas to cut unnecessary costs without sacrificing efficiency. Seek further to implement sustainable options in line with company's corporate social responsibility and values.
Requirements
- 4-7 years of relevant professional experience, preferably with focus on managing a high performance team, e-commerce logistics, managing relationships with 3PLs and suppliers.
- Showed a good track record of managing and building a strong and motivated team.
- Familiar and have experience with various types of e-commerce backends and managing API implementation with third party providers whilst dealing with external developers.
- Strong analytical and meticulous mind. Quantitative skills with advanced knowledge of systems whether it be e-commerce backend customer management systems or warehouse management software systems and advanced proficiency in Excel;
- Worked in a high growth and dynamic environment at the forefront of e-commerce, omni-channel fashion retail experience is a plus.
