Job description for Cross Border Import Manager at RateS
- Work closely with the category team to identify new opportunities and trends to boost sales and optimize margins through product imports
- Manage and develop relations with suppliers, and lead the sourcing and expansion of imported products
- Manage the end-to-end sourcing/import process:
- Manage and negotiate international commercial terms with overseas suppliers
- Manage relations with regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with import regulations.
- Manage inbound shipment, customs declaration and clearance, and other required documents for imports clearance
- Manage the shipping handover and local logistics to ensure timely and safe delivery to designated location
- Monitor competitors to ensure pricing and assortment competitiveness
- Work closely with our Supply Chain team to ensure timely order placement, and availability of our import range of products.
- Coordinate with the Operations team to ensure proper storage and shelf life tracking of the imported products.
- Work with category managers to grow new brands through promotional campaigns
- Based in Indonesia
- At least 2-3 year of experience in imports field
- Diploma or Degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain or related fields preferred
- Deep understanding with Indonesian customs processes, rules and regulations, hands-on experience in customs import/export declaration and logistics operation
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Ability to manage complexity and be comfortable with ambiguity
- Outstanding communication and people skills
- Experience with FMCG/grocery retailers is a plus
- Experience working in a e-commerce/social commerce/marketplace startup
