Job description for Creative Content Director & Videographer at Daichi Nia Group Sdn. Bhd.

Job Title: Creative Content Director & Videographer (Building Founder IP & Event Space Business)

Work Arrangement: 100% Work-From-Home (WFH) (On-site primarily for scheduled production days at Tall Tree Event Space in Johor Bahru and key shoots in Singapore. All cross-border transport, lodging, and shoot expenses are 100% covered).

Employment Type: Full-time
Remuneration: RM 6,000 – RM 6,500 / month (based on storytelling craft, directing chops & portfolio)

Who You Will Be Working For & The Mission You will be working directly with an Indonesian-born Chinese (Chindo) who earned a prestigious scholarship to NTU Singapore, built a successful career in SG teaching over 50 piano students a week, and is now crossing the Causeway into Johor Bahru to invest RM 8,000,000 into building an premier concert and event venue.

This is a premier personal brand IP. We are not making stiff corporate promotional videos. Your sole objective is to build the IP into a viral, binge-worthy digital series documenting:
1. The Cross-Border Founder Journey: An Indonesian-born Chinese NTU graduate navigating life between Singapore and Malaysia, staking an RM 8,000,000 income savings on her own dream.
2. The Contrast: High-discipline classical piano artistry (teaching 50+ students weekly) vs. hard hats, acoustic engineering, contractor debates, and massive capital risk on an active construction site.
3. Immersive Travel & Culture: Documenting her overseas travels, music explorations, and food journeys with raw curiosity and authentic cultural perspective.

Our visual & narrative benchmarks:
● Torres Pit (托哥) Style: Relentless narrative hook, direct-to-lens energy, investigative curiosity, fast pacing, and charismatic, unfiltered founder presence.
● Grumpy Bagel Style: Warm cinematic textures, tactile foley soundscapes (piano keys, concrete gravel, unrolling blueprints, coffee pours), and cozy aesthetic framing.

Key Responsibilities
● Scriptwriting & Storyboarding (WFH): Develop high-retention 30- to 90-second vertical concepts (and occasional mid-form YouTube features). Every episode must feature an undeniable 3-second hook, real cross-border/construction friction, and a satisfying payoff.
● Directing On Camera: Direct the founder on-site to draw out her natural charisma, multilingual Chindo/SG/MY cultural fluency, intellectual sharpness, and authentic reactions amidst multi-million-ringgit venue chaos.
● Remote Travel Vlog Pre-Production: When the founder travels overseas, you will pre-produce her entire trip narrative beforehand. Provide foolproof daily shot lists, conversational prompts, action cues, and visual guidelines so she can capture high-potential phone/pocket camera clips that seamlessly slot into a cohesive storyline.
● Cinematography & Field Production (JB & Singapore): Operate cinema/mirrorless bodies (Sony FX3/A7S III or similar), prime lenses, gimbals, compact lighting, and wireless audio setups on location. Capture dynamic walking shots, acoustic venue details, architectural scale, and candid moments.
● Creative Handover: Deliver structured footage, storyboards, pacing notes, and audio markers to the in-house editor to guarantee the final cut matches the creative vision.

Requirements
● Minimum 2–4 years of proven hands-on experience in creative direction, scriptwriting, and videography for short-form video (TikTok, IG Reels, YouTube Shorts).
● Story & Character Instinct: A portfolio proving you know how to build a personal brand IP. You understand how to turn cross-border entrepreneurship and classical music discipline into viral episodic content.
● Pre-Production Rigor: Proven ability to write clear shot lists, scripts, and storyboards that non-crew members can follow independently while traveling.
● Technical Fluency: Skilled in shooting on mirrorless/cinema bodies, fast primes (35mm/50mm), gimbals, field lighting, and wireless lav systems.
● Valid passport and willingness to travel between Johor Bahru and Singapore for scheduled production days (all travel and lodging provided).
● Multilingual fluency (English and Malay) is a massive plus for crafting authentic dialogue, punchy hooks, and relatable captions across regional audiences. How to Apply: We do not review generic CVs or agency PDF portfolios.

Send your resume and a link (Google Drive / Notion / YouTube / TikTok) to 3 pieces of vertical short-form content that best prove your storytelling, pacing, or sound design.

In your application, answer these two screening questions:

1. How would you script and visually frame the story of an Indonesian-born Chinese NTU scholar, teaching 50 piano students in SG, who crosses the border to bet RM 8,000,000 on a concert venue in JB—to make viewers stop scrolling in the first 3 seconds?

2. You would be sent 20 minutes of raw, uncurated iPhone footage from an overseas trip, what exact sound design and editing techniques would you use to deliver a Torres Pit-style travel reel?
