We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and passionate Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is committed to preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure food is presented attractively and served on time
- Assist with food preparation, portioning, and plating
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Monitor food stock levels and report inventory needs
- Properly store ingredients and food products
- Assist with receiving and checking deliveries
- Work closely with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations
- Support opening, closing, and daily kitchen duties
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar kitchen role is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform moderate lifting
- Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays
- Culinary training or certification is an advantage but not required
