We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Chemical Marketing Support to assist our sales and marketing team in promoting and supporting our chemical products. The ideal candidate will coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to ensure smooth marketing operations and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the sales and marketing team in promoting and selling laboratory chemicals, chemical reagents, laboratory instruments, and related products.
  • Prepare quotations, technical proposals, product specifications, presentations, and marketing materials.
  • Communicate with local and international suppliers regarding product specifications, quotations, availability, lead times, technical documentation, and pricing.
  • Communicate with customers to understand their chemical and laboratory product requirements and recommend suitable products based on technical specifications.
  • Understand and identify different types of chemical reagents, laboratory chemicals, industrial chemicals, analytical standards, solvents, and laboratory consumables.
  • Assist in sourcing products and identifying suitable alternatives or equivalent products from different manufacturers when required.
  • Interpret and explain product specifications, Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS), Technical Data Sheets (TDS), Certificates of Analysis (COA), and other technical documentation.
  • Process customer orders and coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery.
  • Maintain accurate customer, supplier, and product databases.
  • Conduct market research, monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and new products in the chemical and laboratory industry.
  • Prepare sales reports, customer records, and other administrative documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers through professional and timely communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific field IS MANDATORY
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Experience in the chemical trading, laboratory, scientific instrument, or chemical distribution industry is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of laboratory chemicals, chemical reagents, industrial chemicals, solvents, analytical standards, and laboratory consumables.
  • Ability to understand and discuss chemical product applications, specifications, and technical information with suppliers and customers.
  • Familiarity with chemical grades such as AR, ACS, HPLC, USP, Food Grade, Industrial Grade, Technical Grade, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and understand SDS/MSDS, TDS, COA, product catalogues, and technical literature.
  • Comfortable learning new chemical products and scientific technologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, analytical, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken, as communication with overseas suppliers is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with laboratory chemicals, scientific instruments, or laboratory operations.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and chemical handling.
  • Familiarity with import/export documentation and regulatory requirements for chemical products is an advantage.
  • Experience reading chemical catalogues from international manufacturers such as Merck, Sigma-Aldrich, Thermo Fisher Scientific, TCI, Alfa Aesar, Honeywell, or equivalent suppliers is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to continuously learn about new products and technologies.
