Job description for Category Development Lead (FMCG - Nonfood) at ASTRO
- Able to define overall category roadmap & improve category performance with the team members
- Lead end to end category-specific strategy initiatives
- Build strong relationships with your suppliers and execute negotiations to ensure the best assortment and pricing offers
- Analyze key metrics and identify assortment gaps to derive strategies on how to improve supplier and category performance
- Liaise with Supply Chain and Planning departments to maximize revenue and financial targets within the respective product category
- Utilize both internal and external data effectively to make smart and educated decisions to drive incremental sales
- Act as main point of contact for supplier partners and new partnership prospects
- Most importantly, establish an overall product portfolio that goes beyond meeting customer expectations, resulting in uncalculated customer delight. Be customer obsessed!
- At least Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business Management, Sales, Communication or relevant fields.
- Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in the related field or position, such as Merchandiser or Key Account Manager in FMCG (Non-food) categories
- Passionate about FMCG (Non-food)
- Strong analytical & market knowledge on FMCG
- Prior experience in e-commerce is a must
- Strong communication skills. Able to communicate and negotiate well with vendors/suppliers/people in general.
- Able to grow and nurture team.
- Proactive/Initiative
- Excellent computer skills with emphasis of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint
- Proficient in both Bahasa and English
