Job description for Captain Service at Bali Culinary Pastry School
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant service operations.
- Ensure all service standards and SOPs are consistently implemented.
- Lead and support the service team during operational hours.
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences and maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest requests, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Conduct daily briefings and assign duties to service staff.
- Monitor cleanliness, organization, and readiness of dining areas.
- Assist in training, coaching, and developing service team members.
- Coordinate effectively with Kitchen, Bar, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a positive, professional, and welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma, preferably in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Captain Service or similar supervisory role in a restaurant, hotel, or fine dining establishment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Customer-focused with a passion for hospitality and service excellence.
- Ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues effectively.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Well-groomed, professional appearance, and positive attitude.
- Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.
