Siklus is reinventing the future of retail by selling everyday necessities without packaging at a lower cost. Our stationary dispensers are set up in local stores, whereas our mobile dispensers travel through low-income neighborhoods. Customers bring their own containers to purchase refills of consumer products such as oil, shampoo, detergent, and coffee at a discount. We use IoT technology to dispense safely and precisely, to optimize our supply chain and allow brands to interact with their customers. As such, we are the next, sustainable model of retail.
We ran two successful pilots validating customer demand; formed brand partnerships and pilots with Nestle, P&G, Wings, and Total Chemindo; and closed a pre-seed round with investment from the VC Teja Ventures and prominent angel investors from Gojek’s C-level. Furthermore, we won the Incubation Network's Plastics Data Challenge and made it to Cleantech's 50 to Watch list.
The role: We are looking for an intern who is execution-focused and inspired by our mission. We’re a small team, so you will be working side by side with the founders in a fast-paced environment. Your primary role will be to take part in business development and help us refine our business model. You will analyze data, interview customers and key stakeholders, improve our financial projections and business plan, do research on various topics, and write grant proposals.
Qualifications:
- Ability to hustle, collaborate, adapt, and take risks
- Core business skills (financial projections, business plan writing, etc.)
- Excellent writing and verbal communications skills in English
- Ability to speak and write in Indonesian is a plus
- Passionate to create positive social and environmental impact
Benefits: This internship is unpaid as we are still in the early stage of start-up phase. However, you will assume many key responsibilities in this role and have the opportunity to be a part of and shape the growth of a start-up. It is an ideal opportunity for a university student, and we would encourage you to investigate what funding your institution might offer to support your experience.
Location & time frame: Jakarta, minimum commitment of three months. Work from home is possible, but in office presence and in-person engagement is strongly preferred.
